WESTGATE, Harvey E. Glancing Back Along the Cafeteria Trail Item #0111
40 p.; sm. 4to; decorative brown wrappers; photos throughout. [Los Angeles]: [Boos Bros. Cafeteria], [c. 1926]. Historical celebration of this famous Los Angeles cafeteria, opened in 1906 by the four Boos brothers. Considered one of the first successful self-service dining room operations. Josephine Earp was apparently fond of the restaurant and often went there. John Flood, secretary to Wyatt Earp, and friend to Josephine after his death, received this copy of the booklet as a memento from her. Just the slightest foxing to endpapers at edges, otherwise near fine. |
