Item #0754

10 vols.; 8vo; brown cloth; color frontis & two-color folding map in vol. I; illus., maps & portraits throughout the set; bibliography & index, vol. X; issued separately from 1965-1972. Glendale: The Arthur H. Clark Co., 1965-1972. First Edition. Clark and Brunet, 123. "Together with noted scholars and history buffs from throughout the country, he compiled bibliographies of the major male figures in the fur trade of the Far West. The account of the fur trade written by Dr. Hafen and included in Vol. I provides and excellent background study of the development of the fur trade." Once in the fine reference library of the Automobile Club of California, now long gone, with their bookplate on front pastedown. Faint label removal residue on lower spines; vol. I spots of paper residue on back cover; otherwise all fine and tight. Very good thus.
