Russian-born artist Nicolai Fechin emigrated in 1923 to the United States, where was already well known there from paintings sent to American and European exhibitions. Diagnosed with tuberculosis, he migrated to Taos in 1927 and became part of the great Southwestern art movement. Wrapper cracked & chipped; near fine in fair wrapper. |
