PERCEVAL, Don. Two original pen and ink chapterhead illustrations, "4th Century B.C.--The New Clamp Officers" and "9th Century B.C. The Vituscans." Item #6146
5"x7"; matted, framed & double-glazed with pencil titles in Perceval's hand; frame size, 18"x12". A man leads an ass in Perceval's "4th Century B.C.--The New Clamp Officers" in Adam was a Clamper, written and illustrated by Perceval and published posthumously by Platrix Chapter No. 2, E Clampus Vitus, in 1980. Meanwhile, verso illustration reveals two toga-clad 9th century Clampers apparently befuddled by an amphora full of drink. One of the drinking companions firmly grasps a chalice as he floats into a state of levitation. Fine condition. |
