10" x 8" typed carbon, signed by Doughty on his printed letterhead, enclosing two autograph receipts for certificates for stock, with printed cover; registered stamps front & back; oval RD Philadelphia cancellations obliterating red 2 cent & brown 10 cent stamps; misc. names & notes on cover. Additional unrelated cover only with typed address to Judge H. H. Brown at Tonopah, from J. Priest, Norfolk, VA, 1910; series of 2 & 3 cent stamps. Two of four certificates referenced are enclosed, for shares in the Goldfield Treasure, with names of clients and number of shares. Letter lists the four clients, and number of shares. Signed receipts for Hugh C. Marcus, and J. T. Jones. "I hope they will hold the stock off the market, as I would hate to see the price broken." Very good condition. |
