This promotional brochure for Tujunga home-sites employs a number of selling strategies: A 5-page first-person narrative describing a settler's delight at his new home; an overview of the property, mentioning two prominent residents, the poet John Steven McGroarty and Times Sunday Magazine editor Harry Carr; a profile of "fashioned by nature" builder George Harris; a series of common questions and answers about Tujunga. Founded around 1913 by the utopian "Little Landers" cooperative farm movement, Tujunga is here presented as a comfortable retreat from city living.
