14 pp. + 7 color and 20 b&w plates; pictorial catalogue of 328 works by Fechin in the collection of his daughter, Eya Fechin Branham; tipped-in color frontis; 4to; brown cloth in translucent wrapper. New York: Hammer Galleries, Inc., 1961. First Edition. Russian-born artist Nicolai Fechin emigrated in 1923 to the United States, where was already well known there from paintings sent to American and European exhibitions. Diagnosed with tuberculosis, he migrated to Taos in 1927 and became part of the great Southwestern art movement. Wrapper cracked & chipped; Fenn Galleries foil label on front endpaper; else fine in good wrapper.
