In 1929, the actor Gary Cooper took an interest in Heikka's work, and invited the young artist to stay at his ranch north of Helena. Using a cabin as his studio, Heikka made a number of models of ranch hands and guests, including this sculpture of Tex Clark on a bucking horse.
