[NEVADA]. A. l. s. from John White, Miner's Union Hall, Virginia, Nevada to Freight Agent, Virginia & Truckee Railroad, 1879

10" x 8"; in ink on one side of ruled sheet: "Dear Sir, The iron stakes, 1 coil of 3/4 inch rope and two smaller coils of 1.2 inch rope were left at your freight depot on yesterday (Sunday) morning by the exprefs man and Clem Berry. Pleas put a tag on them and forward to the 'Mines Union Virginia' and you will oblige us very much." Signed by White as Secretary, Committee of Arrangements. With a P. S. "Through an oversight they forgot to direct the Rope and Stakes to Virginia." Browning to left side; spike puncture; lower left corner torn away, four lines below text.
