.75" thick file of letters, lease agreements, and blueprint floor plans. 1915-1918. A file covering three years of correspondence, primarily addressed to J. A. D. Vickers of American Express. The subject is the various express companies' negotiations with the Denver Union Terminal Railway Co. for more favorable rent on the Depot Office. Correspondents include Adams General Manager G. D. Curtis, American Express President George C. Taylor, American Express General Agent L. R. Parry, American Express Manager E. M. Whittle, Union Pacific Vice President W. M. Jeffers, and Wells Fargo Vice-President E. A. Stedman. Also present are multiple file copies of a 1918 American Express lease for office space at the terminal, and a 1920 American Railway Express Co. lease for the same. Very good condition. |
