Promotional brochure for Southern Pacific Lines. Color artwork drawn by William H. Bull. The design, a golden poppy against a blue background, eventually became one of the most effective symbols of California (Kurutz). Full page color illustration depicts woman gathering flowers and print "The Lure of a Land by the Sea"; inside describes the major destinations including: Humboldt, Byron Hot Springs, Berkeley,Santa Cruz, Ojai Valley, Coranado Beach, National Forests of California, etc.;b&w photos depict images of California and its peoples. Fine condition.
