Folding brochures: 9" x 4", 8.5" x 4"; color covers, b&w photos, illustrations; maps. Including: time tables, full page color maps, b&w photos, general information. Table,1942 includes fascinating War Bonds promo, with marching nurse, sailor, soldier, blue collar man & woman. Overhead are military planes, and on the ground are the caricatures of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hito. The top of the ad reads "We're Carrying On!" with Eddie Rickenbacker's printed signature. Text on front of 1942 brochure reads "Every bond a share in victory - Buy war bonds!". Very slight rubbing to '37, '41 & '45; occasional small pencil notes to a few tables; advertising label for Dalton McCarthy Travel Bureau tipped on to cover of 1935. Overall near fine condition. |
