[MINING]. Manuscript share distribution notes on back of Palace Hotel, Tonopah letterhead. Together with three loosely related telegrams on printed forms of the Sodaville and Tonopah Telephone and Telegraph Company, c. 1904.

Two 9" x 6" printed letterheads; three, 5.5" x 8"; printed yellow forms; manuscript & carbon typed entries. Also included is a printed cover from the 511 Bullitt Building, Philadelphia, typed address to Nye Co., Nev. Tonopah, 1904. A small sample of mining investment activity in the west, with an apparent connection Philadelphia. Two full sheets of manuscript ink notes on capitalization and distribution of shares. Capitalization broken down into 4 groups of mines, Old Glory, Peewee, Red Red Rock, Pedro, etc. with column of named share owners and percentages, etc. Page 2, division of capital stock, etc. to listed parties, with notes on stock promotion and costs. Parties involved include R. W. Griswold, Geo. Winkler, Higginson et al., W. E. Jones. An example of one of the telegrams: From J. S. Doughty, Tonopah to R. W. Griswold, Philadelphia: "Sold Five Thousand Shares Treasure Will Wire Money When Collected." Top left corner torn off causing loss of S in Sodaville on one telegram, overall very good condition.
