Published every Saturday at 429 Montgomery Street, McEwen's crusade against corruption voiced in no uncertain terms in these pages: "Lift the cover of any manhole of the political or financial sewers, and the chances are always good that you will see that old rat Lloyd Tevis scurrying away from the sudden light into darkness. Stow, Herrin, Buckley, Burns, Kelly, Crimmins - all the unclean instruments of the Southern Pacific - have been exposed . . ." Minor soil at edges; closed tear bottom margin of Oct. 20 paper. Very good or better condition.
