Mixed media on layers of hand - made paper; 25" x 25" mounted in 31" x 31" wood frame. Korean artist Yun has received several grants and awards for his artwork, including: First Place award and Faculty award at the Annual Spring Show in the Academy of Art University, San Francisco; Second Place in the 9th Annual Abstraction juried online International Art Exhibition; Second place in the 6th annual summer All Media International Online, among countless others. He graduated with a BFA and MFA from Kemyung University, and is currently studying for another MFA at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Additionally, he has taught classes in figure oil painting, landscape oil painting, and water color paintings. Yun's images are simple, direct, and layered onto one another; this is how Yun undesrtands Zen. His work ideal is to remain open to the stream of consciousness and to his innate self, and to express a larger awareness in a way that relates to universal conditions. New. |
