...raise some money. Even there it would have been at very heavy rates, but there is an open shaft with promising show that was my basis, now I have no basis there at all, and nearly every man afraid of mines. Still I will try to have some money some way. But I said in my letter yesterday that I was afraid that about the time you spent your money, old man Young would come round ready to close on the $100 and you would not have it. So I think you better keep some money, the $100, ready for Young unless you know he will not come round. The thing to do is to get the Young interest, get him out clean, if it can be done, and when it can be done if soon. And this brings me to say again that I cannot see why, with all the legal points you have against Young, you cannot force him to settle. Have you consulted a lawyer? How are the titles to the other 3 mines? I certainly am entitled to know about them, though I take it for granted they are all clear and straight in you.
I shall watch daily the appointments made by Pres. Cleveland for the name Sulser.
Keep me fully posted.
Yours truly,
Wm. Hansbrough
